"When they're hungry for a reaction, I starve them and say; Hands off my soul.''
Hands off my vibe, my tribe, and all other things you desire to destroy. I guess when you've got nothing but hate it makes sense to use a person as toy. But I'm getting older, as are you, so I know these few things to be true: Your own perception can be your greatest disception, our only prison is the one we create for our mind to be kept in, and if you don't learn to forgive you'll stay forever in the mangled state I left you in.
This post features two looks that were shot with Steven Hakwins for a black and white portrait series. We have one more coming your way after this!
Wearing a few of my favorite things, a denim button up, faux shearling fur coat, and my black and gold round sunnies from Polette eyewear. My obsession with their customizable high quality frames, ultra dark lens', and affordable creations continues because I just recently ordered another pair of shades from them! Can you blame me though? They're so different from whats currently on the market, just another shining example of how the french just do it better. ;)
I hope everyone is having a beautiful Saturday! I finally have the day off- which really just means working on DAZEY all day, I cannot wait to reveal what we have been working so hard on, we're so passionate about this current project and what it stands for.
It's officially spring, and I'm officially stoked. Wearing white and tying a pink and orange silk scarf to my clutch for a pop of color. Wearing an H&M basics mens tee that my boyfriend discarded of and newly distressed denim. I had just finished them when my friend Ashley came over to shoot some looks together. Finished the look off with a floppy hat, gold statement necklace, and a fish tail braid. I know, I know- I'm very late to the braid game, but thanks to a personal training session with my very patient friend, Lindsay, I finally got the hang of it! I have a feeling it is going to become by monday morning go to hair do.
I've recently paired up with Rocksbox to offer anyone who reads this a free month trial! Use the code 'juliaweberrootxoxo' and receive three hand selected pieces that reflect your style, you then decide to buy or just try for 30 days. I loved the House of Harlow 1960 bangle they choose that I am definitely going to have to treat myself!
After seeing so much vibrant red from the paris fashion week coverage, I was inspired and instantly drawn to this cropped blazer by Trouve. I threw it over a black and white striped Free People tee, black skinnys, a black and gold cross body bag, and like always, added a hat.
It is so warm and wonderful outside, I even decided to show a little ankle- as ghostly as they may be ;)
I'm wearing my new light spring jacket (a killer nordstrom rack find!) & it's black, of course. I'm also donning cheeky round sunglasses from WC Shades, and DVF loafers I had been eyeing at work for weeks. Resulting in a minimalistic, easy to assemble, and ready to go look.
It's official, 2015 may be one of my busiest years yet! Between the blog, DAZEY, and a new full time position running social media and fashion consulting at a women's specialty store, I am always working. Especially, since I am currently busting my hiney for a very special DAZEY collaboration coming up (stay tuned, it's all about you babes!)
However, you will not catch me complaining- I'm extremely grateful for how everything is falling into place. And I've found the busier I get, the more organized I become, which was a goal I set for this year.
My boyfriend and I shot this look after work and before our champagne/pizza/movie night. Wearing pieces I've had since high school- my trusty leather jacket and gray scarf thats big enough to double as a blanket, a vintage velvet maxi dress with a mohair duster cardigan thrown over it, completed with a studded floppy hat, cross body bag, and octagon shaped shades.
This is the first look from a black and white portrait series that was shot by Steven Hawkins. I'm wearing a cropped fringe jacket, a black tunic, my favorite velvet bell bottoms. Accessorized with a silver stamens necklace, black floppy hat, and round shades from Poletteeye wear.
